This decadently fragrant wine smells of burnt sugar and cinnamon spice. Its sweet palate is round, exuberant and mouth-coating. It is beautifully pure, entirely delectable and simply harmonious. It’s a great liquid dessert and one of those sweet wines to convince those who think they don’t like sweet wines that they really do.
The vineyard estate can be found in the township of Molar, Tarragona, boasting elevated areas of less fertile land and parent rock. It is this particular rock which confers the brown slate mineral, Liorella, upon
the wines. The area´s inconsistent orogeny and its varying inclinations have lead us to create a plantation that adapts to the small terraces of the hillside thus favouring the contour lines which comprise areas of gentler slopes.

Ribera del Duero, Spain
The concept of “terroir” refers to the interaction of various factors which contribute to the character of the wine: the climate, soil, grape variety and actions of the individual vine grower. In order to produce wines that express their terroir, the vineyard’s soil characteristics must be carefully respected, and only with an organic approach can maximum expression of terroir be achieved.
Bodegas Vizar is amongst the most unique wineries in world. Situated on the banks of the Duero River in Castilla y Leon, this winery sits right outside the Ribera del Duero DO. Quality is first here, with everything being hand harvest, hand selected, and organically farmed. Fermentation is allowed to happen naturally and spontaneously with the native, wild yeast. The Zarzuela family owns this estate, with Felipe Zarzuela currently at the helm of the winery.

It is located in the village of Pesquera de Duero, in Valladolid provence, above the road that goes from Pesquera de Duero to Valbuena de Duero. It can be found barely a mile from the right-hand bank of the river Duero, surrounded by a humble forest of holm oak trees over hundreds of years old, called “Jaro“, which gives the Winery its name.
