Founded in 2013 by Mark Vitale after a 27-year career with the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB), Vivino Selections was born from a deep passion for European fine wines and a desire to bring authentic, quality-driven producers to the U.S. market. The name “Vivino” is a tribute—partly to Mark’s father, affectionately known as "Vi," and partly to the Italian word for wine, "vino."

Today, Vivino Selections represents a thoughtfully curated portfolio of wines from six countries, now distributed across 14 states. Our mission remains clear: to champion real people behind every bottle.

In an industry increasingly saturated with mass-produced, anonymous brands, we proudly partner with family-owned wineries—many of them multi-generational—whose names appear right on the label. These producers work with integrity, honoring the land and traditions passed down through generations. Their wines are a true expression of place, passion, and pride.
